My Review on Colourpop Lippie Stix

Well, as we know that Colourpop brand is a new entry in make up line. It is only $5 each if you buy it in official website www.colourpop.com which is shipped only around US. However, there are lots of online shop in Indonesia who provide this lippie stix in range Rp. 110.000,- untill Rp. 150.000,- which is still affordable.

At first, I bought it in www.mooishe.com as referred to Lizzie Parra's Instagram, but that time the most famous colour, Lumiere, was sold out. Then, a friend of mine introduced me to www.belanjamimo.com which provides this Lumiere colour.

Let's start with my review on this lippie stix. This Colourpop line provides lippie stix (lipstick) and its match lip liner, so that every lipstick has its own lip liner. It contains of four types of lipstick's finish which are matte (my most favourite ones!), satin/ pearlized (it feels matte but the finish is a little bit luminescent), glossy and hyperglossy. Every types has a different colour and name. It says that the lippie stix can be use on its own without the lip liner, but I found that the colour is more perfect with the lipliner! Although it doesn't mess up or smudge without a lip liner, but I prefer to use a lip liner before applying this lippie stix.

Now, let's see the packaging :

The packaging is simple and cute. It is as big as a marker which makes it easier to be brought in our purse for touch up. The name is printed in the bottom of the lipstick with background colour that represent its real lipstick's colour which makes us easier to choose when we want to buy it.

The LBB and Lumiere have matte finish, while the Frida has satin finish. I will review how it appears on lips from the lightest shade. Frida is a nude brownish with pink undertone that will match in almost every skin tone, because it is not too pale for bright skin nor washed off for darker skin. It appears slight pink on my hand, but it is more of nude brown when it applies on lips. Well, it really depends on your bare lips colour. Lumiere is a nude mauve that will suits well on bright to medium skin tone. And once again, it depends on your bare lips colour, because it appears almost the same with my bare lips. It looks slight purple on me which is kind of tricky to apply. Why? Because if I put it one layer it looks pale, then If I put more layers it will be darker and sooooo purple which I don't like how it appears on my face. So that, I choose to apply a coral lip liner before applying this, then it looks Ah-ma-zinggggg!!! It really looks natural and fresh! And LBB is a cranberry colour with purple undertone. Actually this is my first red lipstick that I will keep to use because I usually never confident with red lipstick. I've tried many red lipsticks but ended up giving them to my friends or cousins 😂😂 Back to the review, this LBB is a cranberry red which appears as dark red with grape purple undertone. If you apply this on many layers, it will look more of dark purple than red. One layer is enough for me because it is so pigmented. 

Overall, all these lipstick will look even better after drying. The colour looks more natural and penetrates evenly to our lips. The staying power for nude shade is not as long as the darker ones, so you better bring it for touch up after eating. If you use without drinking or eating, you don't need to touch up, because it stays quite long for 4-5 hours. Moreover it appears matte on lips but doesn't feel dry at all, and it smells like vanilla cupcake which is really sweet!

In summary, I'm quite impressed with this colourpop lippie stix.

Pros : 

• Slim size that is easier to be brought
• Nice scent of vanilla
• So pigmented
• Staying power is good if you don't eat nor drink
• Doesn't dry your lips

Cons :

• Better appearance with lip liner 
• Looks vulnerable on heat, for the satin ones
• Needs more time untill it really dries.

So, will I repurchase this one? 

Yes, I will only repurchase this with its lip liner and only for the matte ones.
